Around 120,000 students are finishing compulsory school in Sweden this month鈥攎any of them with limited information about future career and educational options. Preliminary findings from an ongoing study at the 91桃色视频 show that adolescents tend to overestimate the salaries of electricians and real estate agents, while underestimating earnings by hairdressers and programmers. The researchers are now looking for more career professionals and schools to get involved in the study.

HOI research | University policies can boost graduate student entrepreneurship 鈥 but awareness is not enough

Universities can play a big role in inspiring students to start their own businesses. A new study published in The Journal of Technology Transfer by House of Innovation researcher Maria Cecilia Flores suggests that when universities actively communicate about entrepreneurship programs and provide education on starting businesses, students become more aware of opportunities and perceive their environment as more supportive of entrepreneurship. Yet, universities need to go beyond awareness to drive real startup creation - including measures such as mentorship, networking, and financial support.
